In Evolthon we measured the fitness of the strains under 4 environmental conditions.
In short, we have performed pooled competition experiments in 4 conditions:
1. The Challenge condition - cold temperature (15c/20c for bacteria/yeast)
2. Regular - regular temperature of 37c/30c for bacteria/yeast
3. colder - 8c for both bacteria and yeast
4. Osmotic - 20c/15c and 1.2M NaCl/1.2M sorbitol for bacteria/yeast
For each condition, we performed 4 pooled competition in each conditions, and sequence the barcode region of the strains to evaluate the relative fitness (raw data can be found here).
