Individual growth curves were done in the Challenge conditions (20c/15c for bacteria/yeast).
Each of the strains were grown alone in at least 8 repetition in a 96-well plate. OD measurments were taken every ~2hours.
Bacteria
Bacteria strains were clustered based on yield parameter (OD in stationary):
(A) strains with high yield
(B) strains with low yield
